About the Role

Would you like to join us? We are looking for an experienced manager to take charge of our busiest shift. We operate a lean system at Plymouth, and as night manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of distribution, warehouse, monitoring KPIs, ensuring training is correct, and upholding our Health and Safety values.

Specifically, you’ll be responsible for

Managing our night team, ensuring all day-to-day tasks are carried out correctly and safely.

Taking a lead with training and liaising with operations to ensure all training up to date and done on time.

Ensuring that the environment at night is a safe environment, and making adjustments as necessary, being part of our H+S team, you will highlight any risks or improvements.

Monitoring KPIs and working to reduce non-loads and delivery failures, creating a culture of continuous improvement.

You will be in charge of discipline and recruitment for the shift, liaise with HR where necessary and will report to the OM any skillset or resource shortfalls and actions taken.

Because we are a small team, this is a “Working” role as such, and you will be expected to join the staff in all aspects of their duties to ensure all tasks are done.

Requirements

About You

You will have experience in managing teams, delivering to targets and meeting KPIs. You will have a good understanding of H+S and ideally will have some formal training. You will have the confidence and ability to deal with situations that arise in a fast-paced environment, and be able to bring the shift into line with company expectations both with KPI and staffing.

Experience of working in an FMCG or warehousing environment would be preferred.

Reach or counterbalance forklift licences would be an advantage, but full training can be given for the right applicant.
