About the Role:

We’re looking for a Regional Sales Manager to take on the well-established South East Sales Team and lead its development

You’ll inherit a significant team of 7 ASM’s who cover retail sales in their regions. 
Whilst Mercado has a strong and enviable reputation in the market today – there’s no room for complacency. Our goal is to grow business with new and existing customers.

Managing the day to day sales team, problem solving and driving the team to be the best whilst living the values of the business.

You’ll have all the tools to do the job: the broadest and best protection ranges, great delivery support and top-class customer service. From there it’s down to you! You’ll need to leverage your commerciality, customer relationship building skills, tenacity and drive to build and grow the region with your team.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing your team to deliver monthly sales revenue & margin targets.
  • Building relationships with new and existing customers; advising and influencing them on the best solutions and growing Mercado sales.
  • Cleverly utilising technical knowledge and solution selling to introduce customers to new products and ranges and drive incremental sales.
  • Managing customer pricing and terms
  • Monthly reporting to HQ and group
  • Inspiring, coaching and developing a mature well-respected team across the South East of the UK.

About you:

We’re looking for a proven Sales Manager who shares our passion for the retail flooring market. You’ll need to have the tenacity, enthusiasm and can-do attitude to take this team forward through excitement and commitment to the role and a desire to develop the team both as individuals and as a group. 
 
It’s a pretty large geography – so you’ll be organised, structured and conscientious in how you approach your ASM’s regions

You’ll need to be self-reliant and self-motivated and able to influence team members and customers. We have a strong team ethos and encourage all colleagues to work together to provide the best experience for our customers.

In particular you'll bring:

  • Sales Management success – in a B2B sales environment
  • An impressive track record of driving sales via a team
  • You’ll ideally have some experience in flooring or a related sector – or an interest you’d like to develop
  • Strong organisation skills and experience of working with CRM or similar systems
  • A strong work ethic and a passion for exploring new opportunities to build business with both your team and customers
  • A full, clean driving licence
